From the back of this house in rural Melbourne, Australia, you'd never get it was a Victorian. Robson Rak Architects updated the Malvern home and included another living space off the yard. The customers asked for that the new spaces meld flawlessly with the rebuilt old part of the house.
"We obliterated the first 1980s expansion, already hoisted one meter over the back yard," the designers said. "We moved this change of level to the end of the passage and helped the first roof tallness through to another expansion, which comprises of living space, kitchen, storeroom and clothing."
